Project Reunion in Scotland

Our first reunion was held at Doon Academy from 5th to 7th December 2007.


On 5th December the visiting delegates went to Edinburgh, sightseeing.
On 6th December we held the project meeting at Doon Academy. First we viewed everyone's presentations on their school and region, then we judges the logo competition. The winner was the logo used at the top of this website.
We visited Doon's Supported Learning Centre for morning coffee.
We held a business meeting to discuss practical aspects of the project and to plan our future exchanges. The format of the project newspaper was agreed. Click here to access the .
After lunch in the school canteen the visitors were entertained by music and recitations on the theme of Robert Burns. In the evening project delegates and some teachers from Doon Academy attended a project dinner at a hotel in Ayr. A fiddler played traditional music as entertainment.
On 7th December we visited Robert Burns birthplace in Alloway, Ayr and the nearby "Brig'o'Doon" made famous by the Hollywood film. In the afternoon we visited Ayr Academy, so that delegates could see another Scottish school as a comparison.
